Leadership: The Art of Clear Guidance
On this snowy morning, I attended my Pilates class, which quickly became frustrating. The instructor’s chaotic guidance left the entire class struggling. Instead of regrouping and clarifying her cues, she grew visibly irritated, making us feel like failures.
Her behavior reminded me of the strict, intimidating ballet instructors in Paris, who thrived on humiliating their students to leave the entire class feeling incompetent.
The truth is simple: there are no bad students, only bad teachers. And this is true at every level of leadership.
