Lately, I’ve been using bridge metaphors with clients to explain building connections, particularly when miscommunication and contrasting leadership styles have led to conflict.
Bridges dismantle the silos created by unhealthy competition and animosity, enabling leaders to meet halfway. Coaching facilitates this bridge-building, helping individuals reconnect where gaps exist.
I see my leadership coaching role as a bridge-builder in our increasingly divided world. I focus on what unites us rather than what separates us. After all, we achieve greater success when our shared humanity unites us.
